My Final Post

This is my final post for the class. I have really liked this class and all I have learned. I did not realize that there were so many different things that I could do with programs I thought that I knew really well. Over the past weeks I have learned a lot and enjoyed the friendships that have been made! Best of luck of all, keep in touch!

Graphics Project

For my graphics class I created a picture that has slices in it. These slices act like hyperlinks to allow students to learn about the topic in the picture. It is kind of cool. Its like a web quest but there isn't anything to read. You just click the links and learn about the topic. I thought this was really cool for students who have reading issues. You can verbally tell them what to look for and this might allow the students to enjoy the learning because there is no stress of reading.

WebQuest

Today I am substituting in a 6th Grade classroom. The students are using a WebQuest to learn about Eqypt. I just thought this was really cool to see it in use in a classroom and the students learning from it. I really liked looking at everyones WebQuests in class and I bet they will all work well in the classroom

Web Page

The web page creation was a lot of fun and it was easier then I thought it was going to be. I'm glad that I now know how to use the dream weaver program and create a website for my classroom someday after I find a job.

Webquest

Last week in class we spent a lot of time learning about WebQuests. I found my self very confused on what I was doing during the lesson. I am a learner that likes to follow step by step instructions from the teacher to know that I am at the right point or so I know that I have fallen behind. I feel that for learners like me that WebQuests might be hard because the might not realize how much time they are spending on one page and will fall behind. I know there is a clock but I don't know how many students will look at the clock because they may become to consumed with the information.

inspiration/kidspiration

Graphic organizers are so nice to help students follow what is the content of the class and give them a new way to follow. I have wanted to use them in student teaching and other teaching experiences but I was never taught how to make one. Now that I have learned the Inspiration and Kidspiration programs I am eager to use them in teaching. I only wish I had learned about them before.

Intro To Ed Tech

This is the first time that I have ever used a blog. That would explain why there is a title and no blog under the past attempt. Oops. I hope that over time that I will get better at this. I also hope that my classmates can help me through all of this new stuff. This class seems interesting but very scary at the same time.
